Good news for Beeston residents –  the No 1 Bus Service is coming back.

After a year without this service because of major road works in the city centre, First Bus have just announced that the No 1 bus service will return on Sunday 4 October. It will run 8 buses an hour Monday to Friday during the day, but will now terminate at Lawnswood School near the Ring Road in West Park rather than run on to Holt Park.

This is a victory for the residents’ campaign, which I, and local councillors, were proud to support, and it shows that we can succeed!
