Hilary recently joined the team at The Markets Post Office (LS2 7DZ) on New York Street in Leeds city centre to celebrate the extensive refurbishment of their branch.

The Markets Post Office’s staff are now serving customers in a brighter, more modern, open-plan branch with new self-service options following the branch’s refurbishment as part of a major Post Office investment programme.

Hilary said: “This is not just an investment in The Markets Post Office, but in the city itself.

"The branch has always had welcoming staff, and now the Post Office has an interior to match. It is now bright and modern and ready for the busy Christmas period.

“I am sure that people in the area will welcome the changes, whether they are regular customers or those visiting for the first time to take advantage of an expanding range of Post Office services.

“The Markets Post Office is a great example of the modernisation going on at Post Office branches across the UK.”

The new-look The Markets Post Office has had new open-plan counters installed, as well as a dedicated counter to accept mails. Four new self-service kiosks have also been introduced, giving customers sending letters and parcels even more options as to how they access Post Office services, reducing queue times.
