Last Friday as part of Leeds Learning Disability Week 2015, Hilary officially opened the new Café Leep.  Based at Unity Business Centre on Roundhay Road, Café Leep will give people with learning disabilities the opportunity to work towards qualifications in catering, food safety, hygiene and customer service and enable them to gain experience of work in a fully operational café.

The café was set up by the Leeds-based organisation LEEP1 which provides support for adults with learning disabilities.

The café serves quality coffees, and a selection of breakfasts, sandwiches and hot lunches with an emphasis on healthy eating and is open to the public Monday to Friday from 8am until 2pm. For more information about the cafe and the work of LEEP1 visit http://www.leep1.co.uk/home.html.
